Our Grand Marshal
Here's something to wine about! Hoda Kotb, award winning journalist, Today show co-host and Tomorrows Children's Fund friend, will be joining us on Sunday, 6/25 for the first annual TCF Join Hands 5K in Ridgefield Park, NJ as our Grand Marshal.
"I am so honored to walk with the Tomorrows Children's Fund! I won't lead, we'll walk side by side. We are all grand marshals on that day," says Hoda, a breast cancer survivor.
We love Kotb for so many reasons - she's brilliant, she's funny and she hates pediatric cancer and serious blood disorders as much as we do.
"Cancer is such a grown up disease and it was always hard for me to think about a child going through something so grueling," she says. "Until I met those children. Then something funny happened. I didn't see the disease I knew so well, I saw the light in their eyes. I didn't think about chemo, I saw loving parents playing games to get their child's minds off of the pain. I saw families sleeping on floors and couches so full of love that the door to their hospital rooms could barely shut. I saw so much love."
Come walk with Hoda, raise money for the kids and families fighting pediatric cancer and serious blood disorders Tell your family, tell your friends and sign up here: https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/RidgefieldPark/JoinHands5K

Teams and Team Leaders
Purpose of Teams: to build excitement and unity to maximize fundraising potential. Your role as Team Leader involves motivating your team to raise as much money as possible via direct donations and 5K registrations.
Team Leaders should decide on a team name and begin recruiting members immediately. Before contacting prospects, consider setting a fundraising goal. The most effective way to contact potential members is by invitation via email or social media.
